Hardin Sweaty’s Retirement Party Concert Poster

My good friend Derek Rundgren is the drummer for the band Hardin Sweaty And The Ready To Go and tonight is their last performance EVER!!!! So I created a poster for them for the show. I wanted to do a more stylistic approach only using a few colors and shapes. I always wanted to do a poster with a monster on it, so I thought this was the right time for it. Enjoy.

Adventure Scene

A new print I just finished based off of Adventure Time. If you turn the piece over, it should look like the face of the Ice King from the show.

Adventure Time with Calvin and Hobbes

Art is awesome. It allows you to do anything. One style that has been pushing the rounds lately is cartoon mash-ups. So I decided to do my own and create a mash-up of Calvin and Hobbes and Adventure Time.

Patches art print

One of the perks of my job is that I get to spend a good amount of time looking at images on Getty. Most suck, but there are a few gems that inspire me to create. I found one of a girl with a pattern jacket and was inspired to create this piece of art.

Childish Gambino Dallas Concert Poster

I just stated to get into his music when I noticed he’s doing a show in Dallas on April 7th. I thought I would do a poster for it. I sketched his face and hands, but kept his hoodie undetailed. I then add all the info into the hoodie making it the focal point. Very simple and very visual. I mocked up a t-shirt and hoodie design as well.

30th Anniversary Tour

Out of the blue I was asked to create a 30th birthday poster for a person’s daughter. They wanted it to be in the style of a simplistic concert poster. After we concepted on the idea, I created this poster of the birthday girl sitting in a boat with her two labs fishing, and have all the copy be connected to the lines underneath the water. I’m really proud of this. It’s simple, yet very impact-full. I hope I can do more posters like this in the future.
